Our programs work alongside locally led organisations and professionals, with a focus on capacity building, knowledge sharing and sustainable impact. Rather than stepping in to replace local roles, we support the people and organisations already doing the work — helping strengthen skills, resources and systems that can continue long after our participants leave.
Early intervention is an important part of Boresha’s wider community work, particularly from birth to five years. These formative years can shape a child’s health, development, learning and future opportunities, which is why much of our community-focused work connects education, maternal and child health, mental wellbeing, family support and community development around the earliest stages of life.
The Academy grew from this existing model, giving participants the time, education and cultural understanding to contribute responsibly — and to understand why sustainable change is built with communities, never for them.
